Singapore from 1942 to 1945 was known as Syonan. The Japanese Regime of Fear instilled fear into the population and they went through the darkest period of Singapore History. Not just the fear instilled the torture, atrocities and the disputed Sook Ching Massacre proven with the uncovering of massacre sites during the development of Singapore.
